extrusions: a portrait of april herbert

EXTRUSIONS is a short documentary about my grandmother, April Herbert. April is a welder and a sculptor, and this film details her journey as an artist as well as showing snippets of her life growing up in New York City. This documentary features 16mm footage shot by my great-grandfather in the 1930's, VHS footage shot by my grandfather in the 1970’s, and digital footage shot by me in 2020. This project was created and edited by Mo Herbert.

 

THE FLOSSER

“The Flosser” is a short podcast created for the 535 Audio Storytelling course in the Communication Leadership graduate program at the University of Washington. This audio story takes a true crime approach in uncovering the mystery of why people leave floss picks on the sidewalk. Recording, editing, and music by Mo Herbert.
